Hi guys,
I don't think that this thread will be very interesting to start off with, but I'll start it anyway for people that want to read it! Coming from owning BMW's all my life, this is my first Falcon; it's a white BF MkII XR6 (Reggie). I bought her as a 'time being' car until I could get either a manual FG XR6T or a BF XR6T with a ZF box. However, I've found myself in a position where I don't think I can justify getting rid of her and spending an extra $20,000 on an FG. This being said, I'm going to be asking some questions and making sure that places aren't taking me for a ride! The mods I've been thinking of making are; Performance - Exhaust and extractors - Underdrives - Bigger induction - Fancy plugs & plug leads - simply because I can! - Flash tune Possible mods in later days - Supercharger Visuals - 20" rims - Lower springs - Performance shocks - F6 Body Kit - 20% tinted windows Sound - After market single din head unit in the tissue tray linked to steering wheel controls and AUX input - Single mono block amp - 4ch amp - Upgraded speaker in stock placement - Dynamatting in boot and doors - Dual 12" sub You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Welcome to the Ford world! you can do an awful lot to that car for less than 20K!

I'd not bother with rears at all. especially "sick by nines". All they'll do is muddy the bass from the subs, and draw the sound stage rearward. there's no need for rear speakers at all. Then you can spend the extra money and upgrade the fronts to 6/6.5" models which will add needed mid bass up front.

Just came back from Liverpool exhaust and they've quoted me $1,600 for extractors, piping, high flow cat, twin mufflers and quad tips. Sound good or no?

I know they are good, but, they are pricey, I like Hume mufflers at El Toro estate (see Chris)

Just having a quick look at the SS Inductions webpage and I'm looking at the Big Mouth Cold Air Induction kit for $399 as well as the High Performance Panel Filter for $170. Keeping in mind that I'm getting the straight through exhaust from either Hume or Liverpool Exhausts, is this mod a good idea?

You put a factory turbo engine in for that money.
Same power but factory reliability and the option of running much more power in the future. |

I'm really not a fan of turbo though. Much more a s/c man myself. I'm not that fussed about max kW either, I just want to make her quick, comfortable and have that deep evil sounding exhaust and the amazing s/c whine over the top of it all.

Unless your going twin screw, id go turbo. Centrifugal superchargers are expensive for the power they put out. Dan knows both routes of charging.
