ok i finally got to do something to the car didnt get around to doing anything to it over the weekend.
whats been done, made up a plate for the gauges and have trial fitted them in the car, wired up new cd player, mounted clear side repeaters (ill get a pic tomorrow) and thats probably it didnt get a great deal of time.....hopefully tomorrow i can start wiring up the gauges. only pic i have  ignore the mass amount of wires lol there about 14-15 wires there for the 3 gauges  i still need to mount up the vaccum gauge aswell hopefully tomorrow.

Ah nice, I've seen a couple of mates hate their Jensen units too. I remember wiring one up after work one day for a mate, the whole unit was so s**t it hardly seemed worth it. That one was a really low model though.

That one was a really low model though. my mate bought the jensen from repco for $100 when i was selling my ef before deciding to keep it i sold him my sound system for $300 and his jensen cd player (sony cd player, alpine 6.5inch speakers, sony 6X9's and a clarion sub and amp)

{USERNAME} wrote: Ah yeah, what did you used to have? i had a sony head unit, alpine 6.5 inch speakers in front doors (had to use spacers to be able to put the window up and down  ) sony 6X9s and a clarion sub and amp.when i decided to keep the ef it ended up with the jensen cd player, jensen 6 inch splits in front doors and jensen 6X9's. and TX5 had a factory cd player in it so i put the jensen in it one night after tafe.

Since you've had your Ghia for so long Not that I'm one to talk. hasnt been that long i dont think i owned the ef i ended up wrecking for about a year and a half.i wouldnt mind another car but this one would have to go, i have been thinking about it on and off these past few weeks update while im typing, gauges are 90% wired up just gotta find a way to get 3 wires and a vaccum line into the engine bay, will probably end up drilling a hole.

Yeah fair enough. There's an EB wagon for sale down here, EBI I think. It's a white GL.
$500 registered, it does leak from the gearbox though, he did ssay from where but I couldn't understand him properly.. If you're interested and the box can't be fixed I have a spare box or two..

About to go outside and get the drill set up and make a hole to run all my wiring into the engine bay only 3 wires and a vaccum line left then ill tidy it all up and put it all back together.

Having stuff stolen is the worst.. triton space cab dunno what year hes had it for a long time. well what an eventfull day i got all the gauges wired up put the car back together and the piece of s**t decided it didnt want to idle at all....after going over everything (gauge wiring, engine bay wiring, vaccum hoses etc) after i gave up i removed the oil temp, oil press and afr gauges and then went to start it, it fired up (still has the crap idle) i dunno what happend at a guess id say it could of possibly been ecu related?.........i honestly hate this car
