Yeah, it came with skirts, cabin and tray :D
I'll put those on once I've painted the area that they'll be covering... too much hassle to put them on, then take them off again to prime/paint.
I'm in the process of painting it atm. Right now I'm just going through and taking out all the little dents. Once I've done that i'll prime whatever is left, then I start on the actual paint, paint.
Just doing a little bit every night, atm, so shouldn't be too long and I'll be up to painting. I'm hoping to have it all primed by AFD (and I'll be putting the side skirts on for that, too.)

fair enough... ill keep an eye out for that then...

btw, hows the grille bit on the front bar? i noticed it doesnt have vertical supports like the standard xr front bar has, does it make that little bit flimsy? or not too bad...

Solid as a rock, tbh.

It's missing all the mounts that were on the top of my other bar except the two that use the same bolt as the headlight bracket, so I was a little worried about it but all the other mounts are there so it's solid.

Have not posted in here for a while.. so, quick update.

Car is fully primed, though still needs some body work.
However my front bar got stomped and someone smashed in my drivers side headlights D:

The paint job is going to wait a bit longer than I wanted, but with a bit of luck I'm going to start with my V8 conversion plans soon :D

Need a new bonnet.
Need to replace my drivers side window reg.
Need to replace the ariel and motor in said ariel.

Thinking about ditching my taillights and putting in BA Series II lights in. Having a hard time deciding.

Upgraded my subs from the two kenwoods to a pair of kicker comps, will be replacing my current amps with some kicker ones and dropping some new front speakers in.

Got alot going on atm.... problem with a "project car" is that everything is always half done =/
Thinking about buying another car so that I can take the ute off the raod and really get into it.

Only pics I have of it in grey are from AFD.. I'll post some in a sec.

Oh.. and I will never sell this ute :D
I'll keep it 'till the day I die if I have my way :D
Too much time/money poured into it to be able to let it go.

The bonnet is a lighter shade of gray as I just hit it with a rattle can. Need to replace it anyways due to the huge dent (which you can see) on the drivers sdie. I was going to fix it but I think it will be too much work to be worth it.

Body kit also needs some slight adjusting, but I'll get to that when I take it off to paint.

I sold the other rims. Lol.
I'm going to buy a set of the AU II XR rims (Or some EB GT wheels if I can find those in AU offset for a decent price.) until I can find some 20s that I like.

Yeah, I'm going black, but it's going to be a deeper black than the original. I want to put a mettalic flake through it and a green pearl in the clear.

I'm always busy with this thing xD
Problem is I never seem to finish one thing before a good oportunity for something else comes up :D
I'll get it all done eventually, though.

Once I put the fog lights in I'll take some more photos.

Haha. If I'm ever up your way I'll let you know.
Shouldn't be too hard to find some down here though.
They were everywhere for a while and I was itching to buy them but I didn't really have a need.
Now that I want them they're a bit more scarce xD

Haha. Good luck with the custom tray, I've been watching your build thread so look forward to progress :D

Yeah I was offered a set of 18's the other day for $300, so might be getting rid of both my xr sets maybe... Not sure yet...

Haha my thread is so boring... Lots of talking not much doing lol. Hopefully that will change though... Just sorting out tail lights at the moment... Tricky buggers to find, well at least to find ones I like...

Gets a bit like that.
So many mods to do =/

I've been thinking about trying to do something similar to the VE Maloo ute
Image
But I'd have to make my own section for the tray and find suitable tail lights to match.

Failing that, as I mentioned before, I like the BA Series II lights
Image

Or just keeping my altezzas
Image

I'll wait until after the paint is done to decide. Might buy a set of BA series II and put them on just to compare, and maybe mock up another tailgate with a light section.
Dunno... got so many ideas floating around and not enough time to get through them all.
The thing I worryabout most is overdoing it.

Just a quick comparision from then to now:

Other than the black vs grey, the differences are subtle but definately an improvment.
