Yopu can get teh relined at any brake joint or uyou can get some aftermakret pads which lower the cost

XR8 will be hard to sell if fuel stays the way it is, typhoon is easy to modify fo rmore power

id go the typhoon

if your goin towards the typhoon, at least get the bf so you can get the 6speed-auto if not manual xr8 would be my preference. but it all comes down to what like.

chances are it'd be unengineered, not as fast as the xr6t modded and use a mountain more fuel.

i'm not sure fuel is an issue for someone looking to buying a forced/V8 falcon. And i would be quite surprised if a blower couldn't get the BOSS over 300 rwkw.

Engineering is a valid point. When you buy a supercharger as part of a kit (ie from CAPA etc) can you install it yourself without legal issues? Or does a certified dude need to do it?

Then there's the sound every time you start her up :D

Bosses sound pretty gay for a v8 IMO, can't beat the tune of the Windsor.
A blown boss will probably get over 300rwkw, but you'll have to spend at least 10k. And yeah it'd be unengineered, you'd have to have a pro look at it for that, and chances are you won't get it to meet emissions requirements.
The XR6t is about 10k less to start of with, so if you spend the same money on it (20k) I would suggest you'd be well over 400rwkw, so it's the pretty easy choice for me.

i've heard s**t and great sounding boss exhaust notes. it probably comes down to the design of the exhaust and the state of tune.

I've pondered a similar question:
GT-P vs. Optioned up F6 Typhoon

I've got a deposit in on the GT-P.

I've heard Kenny's XR8. Try tell anyone else who's heard it that it sounds s**t.

If you had to leave each car stock, i'd go with a turbo6, but spend some $$$ on either and it should go like nuts - except the V8 sounds better doing it :P

I've test driven both extensively. Both are great cars and it was a hard decision. My decison came down to

- GT badge. The F6 doesn't have any heritage (yet. I foresee F6's and XR6T's beign the VLT of the next decade).
- GT-P will only cost me an extra $15 a month over the F6
- With the way fuel prices are going, get big a*** V8 now, economical F6 next time.

It really is a tough call between the cars if your not a "it's gotta be a V8" or "turbo ftw" mind already made up person. They're both beautiful to drive, the GT handles slightly differently (nothing some font suspension work or alloy block won't fix).

If it were me, I'd get a Futura Wagon on Gas, but it's not, so get the Typhoon.
