Paint it!!
We painted ours with vinyl dye, and it looks awesome. Goes great with the black MOMO

Had painted a door trim 5 years ago still in A1 condition make sure you prepsol it first and use plenty of GOOD SPRAY OVER FLEXAID UNDERCOAT.

Yeah the VHT is probably the best, just give it a good scrub with steel wool first, i done the door trims on my missus Gemini 15 years ago, 5 years later they were still perfect.
