hey all, if some of you didnt know, im selling off all of my falcon parts (EA-ED) to fund a daily driver.
im chasing an EF or EL or even an AU, in desent condition and a good running motor and box. i need it as a reliable daily driver to and from work and shopping ect. i was thinking an EX taxi as they are high klm but most are well looked after (if a taxi is in bad condition he misses sales as its getting fixed so they must be kept in good cond to make money) anything apart from that ugly orange colour. pref white but ill buy anything. must either have a RWC, or be ready for one (obtain one before car is taken) or if im really lucky a little bit fo rego left. i see EF and EL go on here for 2-3 g's all the time. im located in morayfield 40k's north of brisbane so i need it to be in QLD. want it in the next 2-3 months (giving time to hunt around) |

try auctions, ef's now go for around 3-4 grand and better cond then ex taxi.

You'll get a EF 'goon for f**k all mate, here in WA you'll pick up a damned good one for $3,200 private sale, I know of a EF sedan that was in excellent condition except for one door that was bought for $1200, I have a EF sedan (unlicenced) on offer to me for $700 at the moment in overall good condition...
If you look for long enough in the quokka and on forums you'll find one in WA for f**k all

dont buy an ex taxi mate, not as a reliable daily driver.
my cousin sold an ef futura with a blown head gasket for 600 bucks (spewing i didnt buy this). go to the auctions, they sell some stuff cheap. i almost ended up with a vt-s-pack supercharged for 6g - low k's

i have found an AU, servised every 40thou, gearbox every 60thou, dedicated LPG, altho high k's, the car travels 5000km a day as its a coop's car. i will be doing about 1-2 k's a day.
so for 2 grand for a series 2 AU (wagon) on LPG, im not complaining |

may be a little outa the price u wana spend but i need to get rid of my EF fairmont, $5250 pics in gallery, worth a shot i suppose cheers.

your car does look nice but at the present time i only have a small amount of cash for a daily, but if all goes well after christmas i will definately look into it if i havnt picked up the AU

i think i made a typo there... lol im having issues with my keyboard. i think it was 5k's (at the moment) obviously its done alot more then that in its life.

if you plan on doing 1-2 k a day which is a f**k lot i might like to add, a ex taxi will give you nothing but trouble i am afraid.
Most cabbys only get rid of there cabs becuase they f**k your better of buying a low kay EBII - ED. i picked up my LTD with 154 on the clock for $2500 complete with service history
