g'day, I'm after an alternator to suit a six cylinder XF.

Need one pretty soon, wanting to pay less than the wreckers want..

a generic bosch 45-55amp should be able to be found on the side of the road in a wreck within 10km's!

I have one, but the postage would kill you.

I wouldn't pay a wrecker any more than $25 for one either.

If your cluey, source one from a 2.6 Magna they're i think 80amp I had one in the cortina.

Ah yeah cheers mate, might see if the wreckers have one of those bosch ones.

And I won't put parts from a Magna in my car, even if the came from the same manufacturer (like bosch) they would have been tainted by the Mitsubushi.. lol

That's what is wrong with it. But since the only other car that I have that's ready to go has a blown head gasket I need to get it going again ASAP.

I just went and bought a whole alt from the wreckers yesterday, all good now.
