Hey guys, just blew the lining on the clutch and pretty much destroyed all associated clutch parts.

What I am after is someone who can get trade prices on clutches, or staff prices ie those who work at repco or something.

just after a standard replacement clutch for a EL 6cyl.

PM me with prices or your contact details.

All help and leads appreciated.
Spewing to as a mate has just shut down his car parts business.

PBR XR6 ones are around $260 for a kit, plus around $20 for the thrust bearing!

Best I can offer you is $350.00 including postage (Registered), for either Clutch Industires (formely known as PBR):

RPM1128 clutch kit - which is a heavy duty version of the standard EF/L T5 kit.

or R1220N kit - which is a standard replacement for the XR6 clutch kit - the XR6's must of gotten a heavier duty kit from factory then.

I'm not sure which is better out of the two - might be worth calling Clutch Industries and asking, or they might be the same just two different part numbers to reflect the different applications.

So that's for the clutch plate, pressure plate and release bearing.
Dunno how that compares to any other prices you've gotten, but these retail for around $530.00 at Repco. Offers there anyways.

The standard R1128N as fitted to the GLi/Futuras would be cheaper again, but since your's is an XR6 I assumed you wern't looking to downgrade.

This bloke on ebay might be worth a look, $230 for a new clutch.
His postage is pretty cheap too, quoted $20 to send a set of 4 shocks from melb to tas.
