Hi Guys
I have discovered a split in the rubber seal that connects the intake pipe to the throttle body, the one with the spring around it. Ford want around $200 for a new complete pipe. Any idears on a cheaper permanent replacement for the seal.
It looks like it is glued to the end of the plastic pipe
Thanks

The rubber joiner is a separate piece. I have changed it before. There around $30 by memory.

If its just the rubber insulator connecting the intake pipe to the throttle body on my BA it is replaceable. Bought it from Ford. Sorry don't have part number of hand. They usually go brittle with heat and crack. Unless the turbo one is different to na

So the only option is a secondhand one or a new $200 one

I suppose in your case. Or see if you can customise something up.

rip the existing rubber off, and use a black silicone joiner with hose clamps

Try and score a Territory intake pipe from throttle body to airbox.

The flow better and can be had second hand for between $50 and $100 including the spacer nuts.

Cheers

Hey Guys
If the choice is made to use the Black silicone Tube, does anyone know what size? Is the intake to throttle body the same diameter?
Cheers in advance to those who know. :D
