I was just wondering if there is any difference between a BA tailshaft compared to an AU tailshaft. I cant find any info on this, anything will help a lot

You had me scratching my head for a mo', but the BA wagon has a one piece tailshaft.
Truth is, there's very little that is exchangeable between the AU & the B series. |

Yeah I don't want to put a 2 piece in it. Its a ute if that makes a difference.

Its a ute if that makes a difference. ok. pretty sure the only differances between the two are length [wagon/ute & pretty sure both are alloy] & possibly the diff mount. otherwise should be ok [not 100% but i know the lengths are differant wagon to ute] . |

{USERNAME} wrote: Cheers mate no problem. so just to recap ........ wagon/ute are different length. measure from unijoint to unijoint to workout the actual length needed. don't think the yokes are different as i'm pretty sure the BTR was same/same [so to speak]. if you need a custom one it's easier to find [lol] a steel tailshaft & mod that as that was what i had to do to shorten a tailshaft for a 5speed in a BA wagooon [what i was told as they didn't work on the alloy ones]. |
