Iwas about to put my new bumper & bonnet on y'day, when, while installing new antenna,
i took a look at how the bumpers are secured. I found a dilemma. The slot the side mount
should slot into reminds me of the one on my XF, (triangular in shape). But the EB bumper
has a square mount which wont slot in like i assumed .
Anybody have a reason for this please, i must have my models mixed up.

Curent bumper attached with a wire, obviously prev. owner had same problem.


New bumper, any past experiences with this guys??

the sqare peg slides into a plastic channel thats secured to the guard by a triangle peg. when you remove the old bumper you will see the extra piece.

Triangle peg thingy is black & probably still available new from ford. The front & rear bumpers use them on E series to secure the edge of the bumper to the car. The white bit on the bumper slides into a slot in the triangle peg thingy...
