hi there i think my landi converter is stuffed so can swap form a landi gas conveter to a impco gas conveter is there any thing stoping me from doimg this

The Landi is a complex coverter and a simple mixer whereas the Americans (Impco) do the reverse, simple converter with a complex mixer.

So my thoughts are NO. The OMVL or Landi mixrs oftem come up on eBay. From others comments I get the impression that OMVL is a better unit.
