Does anyone have an accurate volumetric efficiency rating for the SOHC 3.9/4.0 - EA to AU. Nominal 100% is way optimistic and yes I figure it would depend on any headwork performed but surely there is a "black book value". Any engineers out there?

VE is somewhere around the 75-7% mark IIRC.

For a 4L engine to make the 150kw odd the VE has to be in the 80s

Pipemax and Engine Analyzer both say that for the stock power VE will be around %90
|
