Hi all,

Destroyed the bearings in the pulley which hangs off the serpentine belt tensioner. It appears the pulley does not come off - the tensioner is a whole assembly.

Repco are telling me the instructions say to use existing bracket - but the pulley doesnt come off!!!!!!

Anyone got any advice/suggestions/knowledge about the tensioner? Is it similar to the 6cyl one?

Not THAT urgent but i need to get one today over the phone, lol

Damn.

Looks like a genuine part job. Motor traders got em in stock - but wont deliver to me coz im not a mechanic!!!

The bloke didnt have much to say when i asked him how i was supposed to get there seeing as my car is not drivable!!!

Ok, scratch that.......

Ford spare parts, believe it or not, beat everyone's price on the little bugger! And they deliver to the office!!!!!!

got a mechanice within walking distance of you, which you could get them to deliver to? Just down the road from work?

Lol, i work in Pirie street which is sort of the centre of the CBD in Adelaide (dont laugh :wink: ). Not too many workshops around here, kinda like looking for a mechanic on george street in Sydney - i imagine you have a similar area in Perth.

It's all good tho. Boys at ford spare parts are delivering to reception desk

well I dont know about but it only takes me 5min u must be dropping into the brass monkey on the way :lol:
