i bought a XP coupe 2 months ago, got it for 6000 registered 302w. Not one bit of rust, unbelievable for a 40 year old. Its stripped back to metal at the moment, tubbs and 4 link rear end have just gone in.

Wasn't there a mob in Sydney that were fitting 289W in the XP Hardtop's in 1966 and calling them a V8 Sprint Falcon..?????
I thought I read an article on these about 20 yrs ago in a mag.

I have looked at buying an XP myself, the one thing i noticed is that an unfinished project can be a bucket of worms not to mention a hole in your pocket, i'd look for one with minimal rust, all the chrome ware, all the glass, the rest you need not worry to much if your looking to plant a mighty windsor in its bay, Join a club is your best bet, they always get the best buys.
good luck mate
