Hi all, new to the forum and was thinking of putting a 302 cleveland into my 62 falcon and was wondering if anyone on here would know exactly what i would need to change/replace, currently have a 170 and auto in it. Any help would be much appreciated. Muzziel

The Clevo will be way too wide to fit between the towers.
Your much better off with a 302 Windsor.
With aftermarket parts supply nowadays the Windsor is no longer the poor cousin. If anything its the better motor to work with.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Yep, like Matt said, go the Windsor....but, you'll need brake upgrades, suspension upgrades, and drivetrain upgrades too.....as the original stuff isn't up to the task.
You may even have to upgrade the wiper motor for more speeds.....and the steering column, as they are not colapseable......need to see what the rules are before starting.....it isn't as easy as it once was.

Ah no worries guys, thanks heaps for your comments much appreciated, think I might give it a miss. By the sounds of it it's going to cost far too much doe, better off buying a model ford which come out with an 8. Thanks muzziel.

Hello,

This topic has come up before, and it may be doable without many problems. A 260 and Centura ? diff were part of the solution IIRC.
