my friend has just bought an XC ute, which is a 5 seater. has anyone ever seen or heard of these? the complience plates recognise it as a 5 seater. it's the only one i've seen like it. he wants to know if it came new like that, is it a mod ute or coupe?? will be getting photo's soon

i dont think it would be factory, i thin the best bet would be that it is a wagon converted to a ute...i was an au wagon converted to ute on the gold coast...so it is possible for this to happen, this would also explain why it says that it is a 5 seater

I know the bloke who built it. It was mine for a couple of months but couldn't afford it.

You'd probably find a thread on here with pictures and details.

basically a mates dad bought it from factory, had a child, needed more room, modded the cab, fitted coupe interior (it's also had many other mods).
Ran outta time for it years ago, it was sitting in his big backyard on the east coast near the beach rusting for yonks. My mate got his licence, took it, eventually gave it to me as he bought a Valiant, I couldn't afford to register it at the time, and so we passed it along to another bloke, who sold it and dunno were it's winded up now...

With a LOT of love and care it's got huge potential. But the bodys got far too much cancer! The tray has more holes in it than metal left. It was sold without a few peices and that, the cars been thrashed over the last year (does some awsome burnouts), and the enngine, gearbox and diff are showing it.
Good luck to anyone willing to restore it, but it'd take a lot of time and money to do it properly.
