Hey guys.
I have a 79 XD Fairmont Ghia with a few bits that i'd like to know if they were factory options or not. I know its a factory 351, 4 speed, Ghia acccording to the build plate.

Were electric windows standard or option on a Ghia?
Did 351's come out with a larger steel fuel tank?
Were 9inch diffs available on XD's?
Ventilated rear dics factory of aftermarket?
Twin exhaust cut outs on lower rear body (below bumper)

Hope someone can shed some light. Cheers.

Fast glass was standard on a Ghia from memory.
AFAIK the only XD to have a steel fuel tank was the wagon , ute and van. Sedans were plastic.
9" diffs not available in an XD from factory.
Not sure on disc. I think 9" discs were ventilated.
Only one exhaust cut outr on the right hand side but it will hold a twin system.

I beg to differ......All rear disc brake set ups on XD, XE & XF were ventilated. The solids came out on the EA onwards.
I consider that they went backwards on the EA going to solid rear discs.

Yeah well i said i know its a factory 351, 4 speed from the build plate.
And its got a big steel fuel tank in the middle. Must've been a V8 long range tank or something.
