WARNING: I am about to have a RANT, lol

About a month ago, I purchased an XF Falcon chrome rocker cover from a swap meet, Cool, I thought, nice shiny chrome rocker cover for added bling, lol, and I can fix my leaking EFI rocker cover at the same time. Well today, I decided to remove the rocker cover. I got a new gasket, and tried to line it up, all the bloody holes are in the WRONG SPOT. I didnt have it on backwards, it only fits one way. The holes are somewhat close, but it's at least 1mm out in some places, 2mm in others. I tried the gasket on the cylinder head, not a problem. I tried the gasket on an OEM Black rocker cover, not a problem. I lined up the gasket to an EFI cover, not a problem. The peice of crap simply doesnt have the holes in the right place. It is useless. Anyone know how much a chrome rocker cover is worth as scrap metal? lol it MIGHT be close enough with some mucking about, but it's still not right, it's not made properley.

/end rant

LOL. And the Cast EFI rocker covers are supposed to be the ones to use to stop leaking - they dont just bend if you over torque them. Are you using a rubber gasket?

Get the EFI one polished if you need, but keep it.

I quite like the EFI one, I know how to make them seal too, and they always last a fair while (I just use silastic on em) But I just picked up the chrome one because I thought it looked better....But f**k thing doesnt fit.
