I just picked up a one owner 96 XH Outback ute. The original buyer did well to option cruise and a few other things but for some reason he didn't order the airbag. It looks to me though that the basics are there to fit the airbag?

Anyone tried retrofit of airbag to an XH?

While we're at it, I know Outbacks had no ABS option but can that be done too? I think the Hydratrak seems to have the sensor wheels?

being something that was an option I don't think the wiring should differ, I bet it would only be plug and play specially with the airbag, just need to get all the components from a donor car don't know if the sedan SRS system differs to the ute. If you are still stuck with this I do Have a Factory XH ute workshop Manual and have recently picked up a XH XR6 with optioned airbag. So might be able to take a couple of pics of manual and location of components in the car.
