mate honestly, your driving an xb coupe, take the $1500 you are gunna spend on a motor and buy a s**t ea/eb on gas to run around in, then take your time and spend the money slowly to do the XB right, 351c, on petrol like they are ment to be, top loader, 9 inch, fill the guards with 285's on the front and 345's on the back, yes they do fit easily, dont f**k around with trying to balance economy and performance, an XB is not a run around car anymore, a tidy V8 coupe will fetch $10k nowadays from the right person. they will only get more valuable so dont f**k it by half arsing the job.

just my opinion anyway.

cheers Rob.
