Gday,

The chrome trim around my windscreen has been bent up in the corners and looks a bit dodgy. Ive come across a ZG fairlane with perfect trim and want to transferr it over to my XB. Just wondering how the trim is held on and any tricks I might need to know.

Cheers.

Is it like the rear coupe windows?? where you have to remove the window and rubber to get the trim off??

My tip would be to get a windscreen fitter to do it or you might endup back at square 1.

nah do it yourself, the windscreen fitters wont garuntee not to stuff it anyways. Im called 8 or so to see if they would come and take out my back window. Once they found out it was a coupe they politly told me to f**k off and do it myself

remove winscreen wipers, and then the panel just behind the bonnet, take out the little screws securing the bottom chrome trim and remove the trim, then starting from the bottom gently remove the side chromes and work your way around the screen the side and top just clip into place...be gentle as the chromes are worth a fortune now...

seen a set of chrome winscreen trims sell on e bay for $400 recently, and coupe chrome gutter moulds for around $1000, and rear screen chromes for around $500-600

The front ones just pulled str8 out but the rear ones need the window out to get at them, didnt have time to stuff around too much. If I had known they were worth that much I would have taken to the window with a hammer...too late now, the cars gone...
