hey i am new to the car mod world and i was just wondering wat would be the easiest way to boost my car performance other than buying a new car. it has a weber 40 carby on it and i changed the diff and the gears are 2.77 and it is a auto. also so i was wondering wat would be the round price to change the car to manual, preferbly a t-5 not a borg-warner. cheers

T5 cost you around 500-1000 depending where you find it, there are some on ebay atm, if you really wanan give it more bang for buck, drop a E series engine engine with a T5 behind it, their is a how to guide on xfalcon which is pretty simple.

lol, if your not choosey, like me, you can get cheap T-5's. I've got a EFI '85 clunker, and shes quick. Those crapy auto suck the juice, and the exhurst hold them back heaps too, as efbignik said 2.5 all the way, and headers.

I payed 200 for my T-5 out of a XF wagon which had done 500k, she's a little noisey, but she still shifts nice as.

If you try hard enough you'll find yourself a $20 pair of X-flow headers...

Zorst is fun, If its a 85 model, or more to the point LEADED, wait till you get a manual box then they only have to put one muffler on it. that cost me 350 or so.

A carby is the fun part, those damn webbers aren't exactly the kings of speed, so yeah a holly, they start around 500.
