not really possible unless you want to go nuts with a custom install or put an EF/EL dash in

XH's do come with an EF (series I) or EL (series II) cluster. A trip computer can be wired in as per the EF/EL doco, only diff is that you'll need to source an EF/EL clock or Trip computer plug. Big factor now is where the Trip computer will be located, so it will look like it's part of the interior.
I've given it thought in the past, but where to put it has discouraged me.

the only similarities between EF/EL and XH are the computer and cluster, ford arent gonna make a "one loom fits all" setup if half of the time parts of the loom wont be used

Trip comp/clock weren't std/opt fitment - clock is situated in the radio.

YOu could always attempt to fit an EF/EL dash into your ute and use that dash wiring loom to fit the trip computer properly.

I reckon it can be done, EF dashes are getting cheaper nowadays and more common. Auto climate could be fitted as well, power windows and EF door trims too.

I think you'll have a bit of trouble putting a EF/EL dash in your XH

Even though they use the same running gear, an XH is only the same as an EL from the firewall forward.

Everything back from firwall (including interior) is same as XD/E/F (over 10 years older)

Its shape is very different from an EL

I know this cos i just put all running gear + interior from a XH XR8 ute into my XF

I think you'll find the X series heritage will be a stumbling block.
You can still fit power windows and keep the std door trims and have them look made for power windows . . . :D
I've found a good place for the trip computer - with some fibreglassing it should look good . . . . :D

No EF door trims, the doors are entirely the wrong shape. XD-E-F-G-H trims will all fit or you go custom.

I am going to head to my local wrecker this week, take the dash out of an EF Falcon and see if it will fit in the cabin of an XF ute or sedan just to see if you can actually acheieve this. Otherwise, good luck with your fibreglass and trip computer placement. I just pray it doesn't look too ricey........mmm, rice.
