hey lads, havent been on here in ages.. but anywho..

I'm looking at an XT sedan, and was just wanting some information about em, anything in fact, what too look for etc, where the rust will be bad etc etc.

It's going too cop a full rebuild, so rust is no major issue, so long as its structurly okay..

cheers,
rob

Look around the window sills, if u can, take the front 1/4 panels off as water collects at the base of the front windscreen and rusts out the piller.
there are other area's cant think of them at the moment

there are several places they rust
if you can find info on rusting on xw xy they are the same

to start with you have

front window corners, rear window corners and bottom of back screen, around the petrol cap, bottom of both guards buildup behind, bottom of doors mainly, floor front both sides but you can get panels to replace them too

and front crossmember/radiator support at the bottom the square bar behind the beaver panel they can rust

i think thats it as far as i remember oh and water galleries on the roof side other than that they are a great car just everything is old but when you fix it up awesome, i have one i am working on at the moment
