Ok so most peoples cars injectors would never see a duty cycle of over 75%, and your AFR's @ WOT would be somewhere in the area of 11.5-12.3:1, and your increasing your fuel pressure why??? LAMBSE and KAMRF will be tuning out what ever extra pressure your putting in to the fuel system, all your doing is heating the fuel by working the pump harder. Makes sense to me

found this article {DESCRIPTION} the ef el ones are smaller, so it will be alot harder to achieve this mod with out risking it i would think

![]() Just fitted a xr6 300kpa regulator. Results were very good. Quicker acceleration off the line, power throughout rev range has improved especially before 3800rpm. Leaning out issues up high in the rev range(pinging/detonation) when using a 3in intake have now disappeared and idle quality has also improved. My idle was never the same after getting pacemakers and exhaust fitted. A new o2 sensor helped a little bit but it has never been the same until fitting this regulator. The engine now idles smooth as silk again........... Also Bosch have stop making these and ford don't stock them. It took a week for Repco to get me one out of a store in southern NSW. There are no xr6 300kpa regulators left in qld repco stores. Cheers

im back,
I have done this for sometime now, about a dozen cars within the last 3 months, even a fordmods member in launceston tas, as i happened to have the gear im by boot, The benifits are, Its Cheap, Improves idle quality improves power improves the economy, ( Driver Dependent) Smoother did I say its a cheap mod, I know alot of people would love to go and buy a new reg, but why should you, as this is a mod that you can only stuff up if you are to silly with the tools,

the presure makes a cleaner spray, Not really more fuel, and with AU injectors, they have a better spray pattern,

cold air does wonders, as it makes the fuel more dense, and burns better, but with that it will burn hotter,
so a good cooling system is required, The presure just gives a better responce, and smoother, but it does make a poer gain, though the rev range, If you wanted to be smart you could intercool your car, even without a turbo, as it cools the air better than just a cold air intake, Scotty

and the reason people dont do this is...... <drumroll>
insert silly objections here hehe the length of induction route without forced induction would create more pressure drop than the cold air is worth ? still if i had a spare i would consider this mod just to mark the difference, i have the el one on now i might try it with the log reg, i want to chop the flange off my log n turn it upside down for future endeavours anyway....

wow this threads old, whats it doing in new posts ? go fordmods v3......
(cancels the inverted log and goes with the spare bbm with custom plenum) while were diging through old threads... lets get some more plenum pictures and results. not keen without results, known too many c0cks out there selling unproven manidolds that actually reduce power.

If you want to increase the fuel pressure.Why dont you just disconnect the vaccum hose off the fuel reg.By doing this and blocking off the vaccum hose you roughly increase the fuel pressure from 20kpa to 40kpa.So for example my ED falcon fuel pressure runs at 250kpa i disconnected the vaccum to the reg and now it runs at 280kpa to 290kpa.
I tested this a few weeks ago and does make a little difference but nothing to right home about.

Will not work, been there and tried it. have a read of this link from bosch, explains how a regulator works using the engine vacuum under different loads. {DESCRIPTION}
