Hi can some please give me some advice, I just got a new radiator, steering rack and gearbox. The car is overheating, using coolant( no leakage), some white smoke coming from the exhaust. Oil isn't milky. Just wondering if I maybe done a head gasket, thermostat or blocked radiator? It's BA 2003 XR8 Sedan with Supercharged.

Cheers for the feedback in advance.

It could be a blown head gasket. if the gasket blows from the water jacket into the combustion chamber then you will get white smoke but not oily water/oil...

You should look for signs of coolant in the oil or exhaust. A compression test can also help determine if there’s a leak in the head gasket. build now gg

Hey, sounds like you've put a lot of work into the car recently! Overheating with no visible coolant leaks and white smoke from the exhaust does point towards a possible head gasket issue, even if the oil isn’t milky yet. A failing head gasket can let coolant enter the combustion chamber, which would cause the white smoke and coolant loss. It’s also worth checking the thermostat, as it could be stuck closed and causing the overheating. A blocked radiator could be a factor, too, though less common if it’s new. A compression or leak-down test could confirm if it’s the head gasket. Good luck, and hope it’s an easy fix!
