Has anyone replaced the selector spring for an xf column shift auto. Ive tried the mustang beehive feed in metbod without any luck. So it looks like I'll have to go in via the column

Is it like the saginaw column shift where a half collar needs to be rotated to line ip the spring hole?

Id rather find out what needs doing before dismantling things

My internet-fu isnt finding anything relevant and the blue and pink ford factory service manuals dont cover it.
