I've been getting oil coming out the dip stick and white smoke coming from the oil cap it smells like fuel.
I did a comp test and got 1. 130psi 2. 120psi 3. 120 psi 4. 120psi 5. 120psi 6. 50 psi That was with engine cold . Hoping its only the head gasket and not rings . will be taking the head off .

Didn't end up taking the head off yet as I had another problem with the throw out bearing leaking fluid , so Ive taken the gearbox out and changed to the CSC type slave cylinder which is what I supposed to be used but with the cluch I was using I couldn't get the correct amount of crush without spacing the gearbox and bellhousing out which is what I'm doing now .
I already have the gearbox spacer but need to get a thicker sand which place water cut from some 6mm alloy plate which I'm doing now . Then I'll do a leak down test on cylinder 6 to see if its the rings stuffed or valves .

Got the thicker sandwhich plate plasma cut , clutch and bellhousing all on , gearbox going in this week. Then have to fab up a gearbox crossmember .

Gear box is in , crossmember is welded up . will be ready to take for a drive tomorrow

Its all back together and drives very nice ,just need to fox the exhaust as it was installed poorly and it has melted the rear bumper and is resting on the sway bar making noises .
I still get bad blow by under boost ,which is from number 6 cylinder having low compression, going to keep driving it but will keep off boost hopefully the rings seal up after its ran in more

I still see this thread has some interest and views. I have an update.
Rings didn't end up sealing. So I took the motor out, tore it down and found all 6 pistons with cracked ring lands. I was going to replace them with standard pistons but it seems acl are no longer in business so it was hard trying to find replacement cast pistons. So I bit the bullet and went with spool rods and Ross racing forged pistons. I ordered them in 0.50 mm over size. Seeing as I have 0.5mm oversize acl race pistons. I took the gamble that I may need to get the block bored or possibly start with a new block. I was lucky and the piston to bore clearance was spot on. Exactly what Ross racing recommended. 0.0045 thou. Also had to set ring gap install the rings. Hone the brass small end of the rod and fit rods to pistons. So where am I up to now. bottom end is assembled. Head studs and head torqued down. What's left is timing chain, timing cover, Sump, inlet and turbo manifolds, plenum, install fly wheel and clutch. Then drop the motor in and get it tuned.
