got the falcon running yesterday and it was going very well untill i pulled into my mates driveway today to have smoke coming from under the car popped the bonnet to see the hood lining coverd in flames and to make it worse my mate didnt have a hose just a small bottle of water  theres a bit of damage couple of melted wires, melted the clutch cable and hood lining got the most damage tho think it was started by power steering fluid got onto the extractors....and also when we first started it the timing chain tensioner broke wich i just had a new kit put in :x so going to the mechanics tommorrow they are goin to have a look and see what the cause was......enough talking from me some pics below

took the car over to the mechanic today and they had a look at it reason why the tensioner let go is because who ever put the head on when the old owner had it tensioned it up wrong damaging the aux shaft and something else i forget now causing the tensioner to snap when i first started it and also theres not much oil flowing into the cylinder head....so now i gotta decide to find another motor or just get rid of the car.

small update.....when i was going to sell the car i sold my sound system to my mate and put in random speakers and a very old pioneer cd player i found in the shed, so today i took the old pioneer out and put in a jensen cd player i got off a friend i will later upgrade the speakers but i dont think i will get another sub dont use it often enough.

small list what needs to be done.
replace warn bushes in the rear
fix head lights probably something simple
modify k frame
get tickford head checked over
put tickford head on au bottom end
new exhaust system current one has had heaps of repairs and get it mounted up closer to the body probably go 2.5 inch with 1 muffler no resinators
fire wall reinforcing plate

hopefully thats all.

wow havent updated this in a fair while ok motor is out of the car once again  lost compression, gear box is also out i started welding up holes in the engine bay and repairing the front bumper and getting it ready for paint but a few days ago i found a 1995 ef falcon gli in much better condition then mine 213,000 goes very well very smooth to drive it already has a small sound system 17 inch CSA wheels and a mongoose alarm/immoboliser system for $2,000 the guy didnt wanna go any less then $2,000 managed to get him down to $1,800 so the plan is to swap all the good bits from mine to this ive already put my intake on it doing extractors and exhaust today then ill put my bumpers and mirrors on then do some interior stuff then ill put the worked head and manual in, some pics....

things done since last update
