Gives you reserve vacuum when at open throttle, climate control, bbm etc. Not for brake booster.

Well, the xr6 is finally seeing rego.

It has passed the WOVR check, went down for a roadworthy and was failed because of the tint, and a leak in the extractors. So going to fit my old 4480's on to it, and rip the tint off :(

Also on the lookout for some better condition door trims, I had to find a set to replace the damaged original ones, but these are really scabby. Black carpet has been installed, and some trim bits are wrapped in carbon fibre.

Well I guess I better update this thread.

XR6 is sold.
MX6 is sold.
Ghia has been sitting in the same position for over 6 months now and not any closer to running. I've been without a car for about 2 months now.

The ghia was shi7ting me off though, sill rust that is quite bad but I had just ignored forever, door hinges have rust, boot is ever so slightly starting to rust in 2 places, front right sill seems to be caved in due to negligence from a shops car hoist or something that I never noticed until recently, leather seats that started growing mould, and other small annoyances made me decide that the car is not worth spending any more money on... so I'm not going to be putting my built motor or aftermarket ecu into it any longer.

What I plan on doing is waiting; one day for another EL that is more worthy of becoming the car I want it to be. But I'm s**t outta luck because there are almost no proper mint EL's for sale anywhere online at the moment.

What I am doing now though is just getting the ghia back up and running.

Bought an AU S2 VCT motor from a wrecker with only 120000km on it.

Normal sump mods.

Parts collection so far, most of the things you better do while the engine is out.

It should be in and running in about 10 days I think.

So yeah.

AU VCT needs the oil supply line moved. Apparently you can bend it but I wasn't keen on my bending abilities, so I had bendable material put in instead.

Better.

Coil mount

All pieced together and on its way to be fitted :D Too bad the balancer looks all rusty.

Moved out to be cleaned and towed in the next couple days.

Well... It's in, and running.. but I'm not happy at all.

Stupid engine has a big end knock, and noisy lifters, and idles like s**t.
