this time the powdercoating is that bad that he said that it is bad ,and that he can not give me the parts .i had a look and walked straight back to the car and left .just had to get away from there ,they had the parts for a long time now .so if they are no good tomorrow i will ask for a new tray ,i will pay half of it .they cost about ($1700) .wednesday the car will get dyno tuned ,and i will not have a tray .

got it dyno tuned today ,they de tuned it by 50 rwkw .but the thing is still very powerful and it has about 100 nm more then before .284 rwkw at 5300 rpm -868 nm at 3300rpm -741 nm at 4500

rpmImage

gave it a bit on the way home in the back street out of harm ,and as soon as the boost comes on all it is wheel spin first second third and then i back of due to it getting a little bit sideways . its absolutely fun to drive (scary ) have ordered the new tyres today .

it only ran a 13 .347 at willowbank @106.97 mph and i had a 60" of 2.200 .the turbo just would not spool up at all till it hit 3500 rpm in first and then died at 5000 rpm .there is something wrong with the tune .

thats turbo for ya.. its why I want a charger... no BRRRRRRR...RAAAHHH! just constant boost under accelleration.

I have heard a smaller turbo will let it spool and boost earlier.

A mate had a nissan skyline and the turbo wouldnt kick in untill 4500 and then it would only rev to 6500, so he only had 2k rpm of boost, and it would go so quick because of the boost he would often valve bounce.

key is to get a 3500 stall (auto) or hold it up there and dump the clutch.

it really needs another tune, the engine used to run 12.344 .so with all the extra mods it can run a very low 12 or even a high 11 .just got to get it sorted now .they only spend two hours on the dyno with it .so i might take it to RPM at morayfield ,30 min from brisbane .they will sort it out .the turbo that i am running produces a hell of a lot of boost down low ,but for some reason they de tuned the engine from 327 rwkw to only 280 rwkw .and the whole bottom end power has gone ?

did you end up getting the tune fixed by RPM if not i have a mate that has a workshop in wollongabba that is an absolute genius at tuning. ill add the linkto the his shops website and tell him PT refered you. Ask for Bob. http://www.brisbanetuning.com.au/
He'll be able to get your tune right and safe so things dont go bang.
