Hi Mad2

The first rim was released on the ED Futura, and was also on the EF Futura. Have seen them on some utes too.

The second rim I believe is off an EF Fairmont. The Fairmont Ghia had different rims.

Cheers
BenJ

This is a EL Fairmont rim, the other rim came out in box cars first.

The first wheel was only used as standard on ED/F Classics. EF Futuras were standard with steel wheels and hubcaps, as were ED Futuras.

The second wheel was standard fitment on EL Fairmont.

Trivial I know, I just thought I'd clear it up.

BenJ, I'm very jealous of the sunroof. Always wanted one! The car has come a long way from when you got it, nice work.

ok have picked up the sheds ..... & picked up the ghia wagoon yesterday

it drove good altho there appears to be a problem with the aftermarket alarm fitted [cuts out/runs rough] with the factory cruise working great! [was a4 hr drive back]. didn't come with the EF wheels as he sed they were 'loose' when fitted? [thinkin nut bottomed out??]

worked out that my EB DOES have a part missing re aircon! :? & after the EB is on the road will look into fitting the sunroof from the ghia [& acoupla other items]

pics later

just hunt around ... they do turn up! the EA gli wagoon was up near eden [nsw] so was a good trip up n back in the one day  just wasn't happy with a lot of surface rust. the last EB was $580 for the complete car- well used 4l & 5sp factory manual complete [bit of rust tho]

keep eyes open & dont be afraid ta offer cash

on ebay i picked up two front door trims to replace her passenger one for $1 lol .. only noticed cupla smallish rips at the base [hers is damaged where it mounts to the side of the door]

picked up the aftermarket 5sp floor shifter brand new for $65 compared to roughly double that here .. did compare it to one sellng locally & i'd bet the $ spent on it that they are the same. currently gettin a factory shifter cut down to suit the new one
