{USERNAME} wrote: Great number there Mick! Did you remove the mixer? For what is essentially an exhaust, extractors, inlet manifold, thermos and underdrives that is pretty good. The one thing that is holding you and everyone else back are the stock heads. A set of GT40Ps, roller rockers, bigger MAF and a tune with perhaps larger injectors and you'd get 170 to 180 kW at the treads. Heads only are dirt cheap if you pay rent(you know what I mean V8 garage day did you say

Some pretty good idea's there Mark. V8 garage day at the shed when I get some concrete down on the ground. Not very workshop friendly atm. I even had to drive to the office on Friday arvo just to do an oil and coolant change
What's this about heads and rent Here's what it was like today, and I was just swapping seats around Attachment: IMG_2699.jpg The whole property is covered in those friggin little rocks.....I hate the f**k You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Well, the transformation back to Fairlane is nearly complete. Removed the DC leathers today and put them in the NA, and back in went the original velour seats. Tomorrow I tackle the door cards and a few other bits'n'pieces. Love my comfy velours, what was I thinking

yeah i always thought leather was great until i started looking for the NF, every leather one was showing a lot of wear & tear but the "scabby" velour was looking good in most of 'em

Sorry Mick, I meant to say that paying off a mortgage makes car mods expensive

It is a pity the fronts aren't in better condition, the rears are probably as good as you'll find anywhere. The fronts really did make the interior look tacky
But now I have my comfy sheepskins back......hmmmm.....sheepskins

Bigger MAF would be no good to me, bloody gas ring is choking the life outa it. I've finally decided that it is coming out, tank and all. Bad thing about Dyno's.....once you know what you got, you just want more.
Gunna start looking out for heads for mine first, then we will progress from there

Don't get too carried away mine has the ring as well don't forget and it can't be as small as the stock MAF compared to the 70mm - seems to go better esp mid range! i gotta keep gas as its a daily driver

"Computer says No"
No Manual, gunna work on motor where the real power comes from. Have my eye on a set of GT40P's. Then I'll be going down the whole bigger MAF, TB, Injectors etc, etc. Then I'll probably blow the Trans anyway, so we'll cross that bridge when we come to it
