pulled the wheel guard off and and made a hole for the fuse box and loom.
then widened the holes where the factory loom run.
Opened them up with a 40mm hole saw.

Did the same with the splash guard for the wheel well but put a slit in it so i could part it and slip the loom through.

think i'll cut the loom and use two bulkhead connectors to get it into the cabin, reckon it will end up quite neat doing it that way.

The loom that travels along the front of the car gets a bit tight in some spots but when i put the evaporator, radiator and headlights back in it fitted pretty good.

that's pretty much it for today.

yeah hahaha, the front bar probably would have been easier.
I put a couple of loom clips on it which keeps it out of the way somewhat neatly.

Spent most of yesterday stripping my AU donor vehicle.
Took the body loom, steering column, crash computer, brake booster and other odds and ends.
Got to swap all that into the EB and test electrics.

But the EBs on hold for a week, helping a mate put an FG engine into his BA.
Staged up the ute and his sedan for a few photos haha couldn't resist, too bad my phones a potato :(

FG XR6 engine with 60,000kms on it.
Should go a lot better than his stuffed BA engine lol

so the sensor's etc will be the same :?: or are you changing the motor ova to run the BA items?

you will need to swap the lower section of the steering column over so the will mate to the EB rack [i believe - checkout TimmyA's garage]

Going to run all BA accessories, have the FG loom to swap plugs onto the BA loom.
Keeping the FG intake though so should only need to swap plugs.
It's an early enough block so there's the spot for the BA dipstick which is a win :D just got to drill it out and plug the old one.

Yeah, I'll be mating the top half of the AU column to an EB bottom half but only to keep the ignition barrel.
End goal is a BA dash so will be putting BA steering wheel, stalk and covers onto the AU column.

Hey Mad,

You wouldn't happen to know if the BA\BF pilot bearing is the same as the FG one for 6cyls?
By the looks of listings on ebay they're the same for the v8 but not sure about the 6cyl :?:

BA to FG engine conversion complete!
Not sure why it hunts a little at idle :| still trying to figure it out.
Haven't put a hole in the TB butterfly yet, trying to avoid it.
