I'm new to some of this, so it may be a stupid question, but do you have to get new bolts when replacing the rocker cover, or can you use the same ones. Because I have heard that when you are replacing one tlof the engineering parts you have to get new bolts as they are designed to expand.

you are thinking of the bolts that hold the head to the block, they are a bolt that can only be tightened once, if you take the head off you buy new ones, as for the rocker cover they are just normal bolts you can use them over and over again, altho if the gasget for the rocker cover looks a little old and you have the rocker cover off might as well throw a new one on so you dont get oil leaks

Compared to the old?

im getting my rocker cover redone in this black rough looking plastic coating, can get it in red like the ticky ones or black, ill be getting one done in black and one done in red,see which one i prefer an sell the one i dont like. wonder what blue would look like

I used EL ones as they are low cut like the front 1 or 2 of an EF because I have A 3" CAI.

Dropped off my timing cover to be machined today as it hits the head due to the decked block.

So, I got the timing cover machined down by .060 so fingers crossed it goes on now!
Ordered my new Cam, I went the Wade 1673 as 977b is too peaky for 3.23 gears and I am getting over my car driving like a pig.
I am waiting on my new lifters, Top Gun 9mm leads and a Gates Racing Serpentine belt to arrive still.
I will also be ordering a Mustang T5 Short Shifter from US Ebay once my core deposit on the Cam comes back.

Heres a pic of some goodies I recieved today

Today I have installed the timing tentioner, Intake manifold (shame to cover all that paint), all electrics (Cam and crank sensors, knock sensor, oil pressure sender ect) and I gave the steel heater pipes a lick of matt black (so not to detract from the blue) and the power steering pump bracket.
I will throw up some pics tomorrow.
I also took the gearbox and bellhousing off the old engine and will be doing clutch, flywheel ect on sat along with the oil pump.

Then the engine bay paint..

Cheers
