Just bought this.. :) :) :)
I was going to keep the EF and do the AU VCT conversion on her, buuuut....
I've been keen on the AU Ghia's for a while now, and she came up at the right price.
Will be picking her up early next week.
Photo's from the ad...

222,000km, all original, drives beautifully, steering and suspension is tight as a drum, full grey leather interior, all the usual Ghia goodies and everything works as it should. I'll post interior pics when I pick her up.
All I need to replace is the steering wheel button for the stereo control.
Overall I'm very happy with it.

Has anyone got a link for the guy who repairs the LCD screens for the climate control and trip computer, sadly mine has the missing segment disease. Not too badly, but I still would like it fixed.

I know, I know :) ..
But I won't be picking it up till next week, the photos on here are from the ad. Once she's in my driveway you'll get pics guaranteed.
And comparing the AU to the E series?
Just. Wow!!!
The EF looks a lot better IMO, but for driving and comfort? The AU owns it totally.. Soooo much nicer. Plus having ALL the Ghia goodies sealed the deal as well.

Has anyone got any input for this {DESCRIPTION} thread? I imagine it would work fine, but I don't want to start hacking into the wiring only to discover it doesn't work.

1 thing.. the aerial wont retract fully when the radio is off. I'm guessing the toothed strip for the mast is missing teeth? Can anyone confirm/deny?

Looks good man, so you're liking it better than your EF?

Yep, it's like comparing chalk and cheese.
What people have said about the level of refinement in the AU compared to the EF/L's is spot on. Did a 200km (at an average economy of 11.1 L/100km, which I'm quite happy with) round trip with the kids today on a mix of highway/secondary/urban and gravel roads at high and low speeds. The handling of the car is so predictable and so well behaved on all of these surfaces. An absolute dream to drive and such a comfortable interior.
I've sorted the aerial out so it retracts fully now, the only remaining issue is the gear change from 1st to 2nd is pretty harsh. She's booked in to get the solenoid replaced and gearbox serviced on Monday, so that's going to be sorted soon. :)
