Hey Guys,

Troy and Matt have been busting my chops to get a build thread up on here.

So here it goes!!

Car: 1999 AU Fairlane Series 1.5
Engine: T3 342Cu.In Engine with Heaps of Modifications
Transmission: T1 TS50 ESS Transmission
Differential: 3.45 LSD IRS
Interior: Series 2 Sportsman

Car was Orignally a VCT 6 Cylinder, but June 2013 I completed a Conversion to 5.0 Spec.
That engine had Ported GT40Ps from Bain Racing and the rest of the work from Harris Engine Services.

Kept that in the old girl until I got offered a T3 Bottom End .. then the ball started rolling..

Current Engine:
ACL Race Series 342Cu.in Pistons
AFR 185cc Competition Heads
Argo Billet Rods
Crankshaft Rebuilders Nodular Iron Stroker Crankshaft
Custom Camtech Cam - 238/242 .568/.570 109LSA
Trickflow BOX-R Manifold
Ford Racing 42LB EV1 Injectors
Custom PMAS Billet MAF
75mm Throttle Body
DiFillipo Extractors
MSD Coils
MSD Leads
MSD DIS-4 Ignition System
Moates Quarterhorse - My Own Strategy

With the 30lb Injectors and the 80mm MAF (which was easily pegged), the Car reeled off 250.1RWKW before going lean on Spiro's Dyno.

Car hasn't been dyno'ed with the New Setup yet as the transmission is giving me issues now..

But already on the cards is a new Block and Pistons for the combo before the split happens!

Very nice, you have done it once and done it properly. Would be a good sleeper and surprise allot of cars on the road.

Thanks :)

She has scared a few people on the road but right now the box is slipping at 6000RPM all the way to 7300 before she grabs again so I am losing the top end :(

On the Dyno she kept pulling past 6500..

Nathan

Hey Nathan, just wondering how far north of the 7000rpm mark on the tacho you've gone? Wondering if I'll be facing speedo to tacho clash with the Modular screaming to 8500rpm in the Ute.

The block and piston combo sounds fun, especially given what it's making now!

Brett

IIRC, 7352RPM was the highest I have taken it..

Yep, Can't wait for the new heart, but i think i have reached the limit of the BTR 97LE ESS Box... She won't hold gear above 5800RPM Anymore :(

Time for a manual or an old school auto with a manual valve body.

the box still works fine under 4800RPM... So Until I finish up at my current job and get two weeks off, ill have to be gentle on it

They reckon the breakaway at high RPM is excessive clearances .. might as well get it beefed up as the 363 isn't going to be any gentler!
