stainless or mild steel, I reckon the paccies are better for flow.

Will you get the car re-tuned with the new headers? I recommend it.

yea it needs to be re tuned due to operational hickups with the way the ecu was set up..
so i thought ill do the exhaust before the re tune!

Thats interesting... my genies are definatly not press bent.. but they look similar in every other respect.. does yours have the chrome genie batch bolted to them?? I ask because I didn't think genie did anything press bent under the name genie..

I made a copper gasket for the four bolt flange and layered it with exhaust gasket goo before bolting it tight.. have yet to see how it does under boost pressures, but I'm hopeful..

didn't notice any difference in power swapping between pacies and genies.. but the genies sound better... deeper and more husky..

My genies have a 3 inch collector which is bolted to a 3 inch magnaflow and then shrunk down to 2.5 inches for the rest of the trip.. will be interesting to see how it goes under boost.

yep there genies they had the chrome genie badge on top untill recently. maybe they are early ones? its hard to tell as being stainless there are no signs of age except for heat burn..

here is a clip i took early thismorning on the way to the exhaust shop just for kicks..
if your pc has normal speaker it will probably just distort..lol

the exhaust is done..
the guy had fitted it without a resinator first and it was way too loud..
so he fitted a resinator and is much better but still fairly loud..
here is a pic as it was being fitted..

Hey Mate,

I'll reserve judgement in person on the note, and volume, on Friday. You could probly expect about 5-7 kw, from the slightly bigger exhaust....well that is what the Mav' got, and it wasn't even tuned properly.....

Cheers

so far i would say its worth it. :D
some people said it would loose bottom end torque! naaaaa.bull s**t!!
it has more throttle responce with the 3", feels like there is more mid range torque,it has a deeper note and sounds very angry when its revs under boost :D .
i havnt been able to really open it up as it started raining tonight but i gave it a few bursts before it rained and so far im happy..

the down side is there is a little bit of resination cruising around 70-80kmh/under 2000rpm when there is load on the engine but its pretty good at 100-110kmh.

I have to say it sounded really good to me on the cruise down to Wollongong last night. Nice deep note that sounded even better when the loud pedal was pressed.
