Ford XF Inline 6 EEC-IV Wiring Information
| This document describes the pinouts, and wiring for the EEC-IV Engine and Powertrain Control Module, for the XF 6 cylinder 4.1 EFI model Falcons
The information includes wiring connector pin-outs, wire colours, expected voltages, and wire feature.

The above image describes the EEC-IV module Pin numbers, that are used on the Engine Control module.
The EEC-IV Module is located behind the Left Hand Side Kick Panel, On the passenger side of the vehicle, near the front seat.
To remove the kick panel, and gain access to the EEC-IV module, you will need to complete the following.
1 Remove the 3 Retaining screws on the plastic door scuff plate, and remove the scuff plate.
2 Remove the plastic plugs used to secure the plastic kick panel.
3 Pull the back of the kick panel towards the transmission, to disengage the kick panel from the chassis.
4 Finally slide the kick panel backwards towards the back of the car.
The XF EEC-IV Wiring connector is the Standard Ford 60 Pin Connector, as used on the XF 4.1 EFI, EBII 4.0, and ED 4.0 EEC modules.
Please Note that Pin 1. Is located on the lower Row, Far Left, when the wiring connector is facing somewhere pretty.
There are 2 destinct model ECU's that were available for the XF EFI models.
Leter XF models were shipped with Unleaded ECU's and motors, to comply with the ADR37.
Unleaded and Leaded ECU's Are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.
Along with these 2 model ECU's there were also some pin out changes made, with some features added, and delted, depending on the model.
These changes include,
A Knock Sensor was used on Unleaded vehicles, which was connected to pin 23.
The EGR Control Solenoid was moved from Pin 54(Leaded) to Pin 33(Unleaded)
EGR Vent Solenoid was moved from Pin 35(Leaded) to pin 52(Unleaded).
The Cannister Purge Solenoid was moved from Pin 32(Leaded) to Pin 35(Unleaded).
The Vane Air Flow Meter Output was moved from Pin 43(Leaded) to Pin 27(Unleaded).
