Hi Scaffy, this is my first post on here. But as you already know from other forums that I am a very happy Moates Quarterhorse/Binary Editor convert. Great bit of gear, never looked back. My 10" notebook now lives in my glovebox for those 'on the fly" adjustments. I don't know of many other AU's running QH, why is that?

Can Smartlock be disabled in these binaries?

I know it can with the TI J3's, but i guess they're more Aussie oriented?

I'm considering going down this route when i drop my EL 5.0 and EEC into my 83 thunderbird, but i'll obviously have no smartlock in it.

Yes, they can, but you have to find someone whose willing to do it. The guy I've had create a couple of strategies won't override any security features, as he doesn't want to be responsible for anyone using that function for evil purposes...

Late reply much?? I didn't see it before, sorry Craig. There aren't really many others using the QH, full stop. The self-tuners here are few and far between, as I'm sure you already know. AU owners have a good option with the flash tuning and they can go just about anywhere to get a decent tune. It'd be great if we had more people giving it a go, then we'd be able to get things moving forward a lot faster.

EL-ghia01 - As I mentioned in PM, hopefully the NVMG85 strategy will run your ECU, then it'll be a lot cheaper for you to get up and running. I think I know of someone who has one of these EECs laying around, so when I get home in a couple of weeks, I might try and get my hands on it and test it out.
