Hey all my brother has a BF Mark II and he wants to know if there is any sort of known issues with the BF's specifically rattles in the manifold/injectors at around 500rpm.

My BA has a slight rattle at idle and its coming from the belt tensioner which is normal.

Im a mechanic at Ford & theres no known problems with what you're describing. 93EB is most likley right with it being the belt tentioner or the idler pulley above it.

Hi All

I am to getting this issue but only when in drive, my idle sits around 600revs but i am getting a rather bad rattle, if i pop it into netrual or park the revs go up and the rattle stops. I have a BF mk1 sedan. I did just recently fit a full exhaust and extractors so not sure if that has something to do with it??

Why dont you sit in the car in DRIVE with your foot & the brake & get a mate to stick his head under the car or where ever that rattle is coming from.

already done that mate it sounds around the end of the headers where it joins the cat, its odd though because it doesnt always happen, is there a way to adjust the idle only for when the car is in drive

Nah its all electronic ay. If I were you I'd go back to the exhaust shop & tell them since you fitted the exhaust the car rattles. If they want to keep you has a happy customer im sure they'd take a look at it for you.
