Ah ... that's nothing .... my previous car had a spastic and AFR went off the chart (ie: above 22:1) ... but still made decent power for a 1.6L ... made 60kW at the front wheels ... and pulled flat 16s for the 1/4mile.

The guy running the dyno had no idea what was causing it ... he suspected the pod filter on it ... or needed tuning.

No, not the drop at 3800rpm, thats during the period of the manafold switching and the ecu ignition maps changing, im more intrested in the leaning out of the mixtures from 12:1 to 14.5:1.

You mentioned a pressure regulator, I have an adjustable regulator installed as you can see, the car was richened up for the second run, however it still leaned out excessivly up top.

My thaughts are either, Fuel pump flow problems or fuel filter dramas.

The O2 sensor shouldnt be refrenced during a WOT run though should it? The car should revert back to base maps??

Yeah i would definately have to say a new fuel filter mabe in order along with a new fuel pump. That should fix the problem. :)

Do you know the condition of your injectors Dan?
I'm wondering if they are dirty/blocked enough to affect flow at high demand but still getting enough fuel through at lower demand. Might pay to get them sonic cleaned and flow tested.

Darin.

That's pretty scary stuff Dan. Do you ever notice detonation?... at high loads and 14.2:1 afr, pinging would/should be a given... spose that exhaust is a bit loud tho....

Id say theres little chance of that being an 02 sensor... they have some input into WOT, but only as a modifier, based on what theyve observed during closed loop...

Looks like it does well until, what 3000rpm?

If fuel pump i struggling then it must be shot, shouldnt have too many dramas supplying 140rwkw... filter? injectors? as suggested...

Was ECU reset before run? Lol, you wouldnt be too concerned about it learning to *cough* idle again?

Do you have a chip or programmable management?

You have probabily reached the limits of your ECU.

That is a bit scary (lean). It will be costing you a bit of power up top as well...

Change the fuel filter first. very cheap and easy to do. If that doesn't work maybe it's the fuel pump? Should be able to replace that for under $200.

Theres a chance that it is unburnt fuel causing the lean readings

it's not just the leaning that i'd worry about. its that the AFR is all over the place. get a wolf or EMS and have it tuned properly
