does anyone know if the TFI module on EB/ED I6 distributors is different to the ones on V8's?

no, they shouldn't be... the pinouts the same for both... PIP, SPOUT, START, POWER, COIL (-), and GND.
So in 6's and 8's they all work the same, send PIP signal to ECU, and then the ECU sends a SPOUT signal back...then the coil fires...

The only two variety's there were in TFI modules was black and grey ones.. and Im pretty sure V8's used grey ones.

The black ones meant that they were a computer controlled, and are difficult to work with (aftermarket wise), and the grey ones are the most common ones.. which just simply did what I described above.

Prob no the best idea to offer advice then :roll: .

Aftermarket TFI modules fit both I6 and V8 so you would expect that the stock items would be interchangeable.
