hey ppl,my el has a slight miss under load around 1000 rpm to 1500rpm changed plugs leads cleand idle speed controll valve not as bad but still does it and somtimes hunts at idle,i have put a 5 speed in and still have the auto ecu could the be the problem?? started doin it about a month after i had put the manual in.

have you changed the dizzy cap and rotor button??
another thing that can cause hunting is the tps switch on the throttle body being out of range.

Replace the coil, as a miss is usually spark related.

Also the TFI module on the dizzy is also on the suspect list.

hi mate
i had the same prob for ages, it was a cracked distrubter cap, that pretty much fixed the problem.
then i cleaned my air filter (k&n) and now it runs smoooooooooooth as, i couldnt believe the difference it made.
so maybe give that i go :)
