i just brought a mpi ea sedan for work it has really low diff for some reason gears and only a 3spd auto so it rev's high on the high way but flattens out at 3000 dosent miss just stop reving any idea's? maybe fuel filter?

I had the same thing happen to me recently in my EL, i thought it was fuel filter too, turned out to be one of my leads was breaking down and corroding. Give that a try

blocked cat sounds a bit more like it cause it stop reving so smooth its not missing i did timing and all that i was just wondering if anyone new off this being a comon prob.... lol im a t.a machanic anyways i just goota get off my lazy a#*e and have a better look...
