I pretty much need a new radiator for my EB falcon (leaking/losing a lot of coolant in a short amount of time) and was wondering if my mate's radiator from his AU falcon would fit into my car. I've tried searching but I'm not getting the answer that I need :/

Any help would be appreciated!

Nope. Way too different to bother.

Unless you want to replace all your hoses and radiator mounts at the same time.

Ah right... so would any radiator from an E-Series work, or does it have to be EB specific?

ef el will fit and bolt up just change the hose that goes from the coolant headder tank
all other hoses are fine

no bradley no!!!
dont give advice unless your 100% on what your talking about..
the header tank hose is slightly different and
the bottom radiator hose on eb is larger than ef el, the radiator is a direct fit but you will need to make up a a hose adaptor or something to change it from the larger eb hose to the ef one.

or you can cheat by leaving a 2" piece of the ef radiator hose on the pipe then push the eb hose over top,
this can work but not ideal...

Is it more beneficial to use an EF/EL radiator than an EB one?

not really, the size and mountings are the same...
if you dont want to go changing hoses ect, best just to get an eb one...

EB radiators are cheap & plentiful from radiator joints anyway, why bother with all the cost & hassle of converting hoses & so on to use a later, same sized radiator?

Cheers

My adrad EB radiator has the holes to slide nuts into to bolt the EF/EL thermo fans onto, so i bolted mine on as per factory.

Cheers

Well thanks for your help guys. :)

I'll be grabbing an EB radiator when I can, hopefully shouldn't have trouble putting it on.

I forgot to ask this, what size sockets and such do I need to remove the radiator? And how many bolts need to come off?

Also, I'll be able to use any radiator from EA-ED right?

2 bolts... Both 15 mm.

2 flare nuts... Both 17mm (if yours is auto)

Flat head screw drivers and maybe some multigrips to help with the hose removal.

Believe the radiators are all the same. Just make sure you get an auto rad if yours is an auto.
