maybe when you got your injectors cleaned it was the same deal, only reving it to 2500rpm or whatever to gauge improvement.

I suppose I could go do 90kmph before kickdown and see whereabout the revs are then. Probably is about 2500-2800rpm..

yeah I don't know what he didn't just explain this to me then be a C**k about it.

Yeah engine is 320,000kms  just warming up really. :P No extractors. Cam is quite lumpy.. but it's just a grind. The head was ported nicely and skimmed running a AU gasket. EA intake pipe.. XH snorkle

(which the guy removed cos he said the bonnet was restricting the airflow to that snorkle??!) WTF. Everytime I've got anything done with LPG they remove the snorkle. The last guy took off the factory one saying it was restrictive. So I bought a XH one. Now this dude took that off saying the bonnet was covering the intake too much.)

I'd be happy with around 130 odd rwkws.. I can't actually do much else to get more power as the LPG is maxed out. Apparently it's a small system and won't flow enough. Unless I made sure I switched to petrol everytime I put in the boot...

You could have a blocked exhaust but why port the head and not have extractors and a lumpy cam with out extractors? When gas first started my dad bought an XD (3.3 ltr) with gas and the best thing he did was put a sports exhaust and extractors it went 100% better.

One of the dyno days a guy got the same figures as you and it was found to have a dead cat, replaced it and what do you know it ran 140kw at the wheels.

I just haven't got around to getting extractors yet.. it's just my daily driver and I have a V8 capri in the garage taking up all my spare coin.

I will get some at some stage.

I don't have a blocked exhaust as it's just been done and I don't run a cat.

I think we've worked out that the dude only reved it to 2500-2800rpm to get a reading to tune the LPG too. Hence the low figure. I'll run it up on a dyno again at somestage
Cheers guys.

76rwkw is really low.... mine pulled 98.4rwkw on LPG and thats an AU 4.0 auto Xcab with 805,000 kay on the original donk stock.

Did that on a dyno day with MFC, average stock EB's etc were around 100rwkw, so something is wrong somewhere

I think he just didn't rev it. It wasn't a power run

i think they may do it different on a lpg tuning run. because i had a v8 valiant duel fuel and when i got the gas dyno tuned it only had 92rwkw@ 3000rpm on lpg..
but after spending 6 grand on the engine i wasnt happy.
so i took it some where else and it pulled 141 rwkw on a full power run@ 5400 on lpg..
and it pulled 150 rwkw@ 5600 on premium..

so when they tuned yours the must have only reved the engine to about 3000 rpm like they did on my valiant...

That might be the case too. When they did my dyno run, they where a tad nervous to run full revs cos of the kays. I told them it can go to redline no probs :) as it has been there a few times on cruises etc (as you do). they did 3 runs trying hard to get 100rwkw, they where suprised they got 95 on the first run and it didnt change much on the other 2 runs but not for the lack of trying.

since added a Unifilter and extractors so should get over 100rwkw now :)

Well I got my EBII dynod the other day to tune my LPG. (dual fuel)

76rwkw... on petrol!? and 74rwkws on LPG.

Now I dunno about you but that seems redicilously low. I have a cam, ported head, raised compression, elec fans, XH snorkle, and a 2.5 exhaust straight through.

the guy rolled his eyes at me and said 'you boys read too many magazines! Thats a good figure mate! Your cars putting out more that the XR6 that was on here the other day. To put it in perspective a 2L petrol car would make about 50rwkws.. you've got 76 so it's good. What you read in magazines is flywheel figures' rant rant etc and so forth..

even so.. I was expecting about 140kws not 70kws! My mates 2.0L escort humps out 70rwkws. I have the same mods as him but mines 4.0L's.

Surely the guys dyno must be very inaccurate?

my EF made 115rwkw with stock cam, no headwork and a catback exhaust, i think his dyno is a little tight? or he may be using the wrong correction factors///
