TT Zeds run 12s with relative ease. A whole lot cheaper than getting the taxi 6 there... They get over 200 at the wheels with an exhaust, intake and chip.
They're quite heavy for a jap car. They're really cruisers.
180sx with strawberry face conversion are awesome... the interior is s**t though, and there's not much room in there. Not as bad a an s14 200 though, you HAVE to sit like a muzza to keep your head off the roof.

Im' not a big fan of jap cars but a SR20 no way i'd go the RB26 anyday. I love the performance of them me mate has a 89 prelude done it a bit to it and i can flogg him but me other mate has an R33 GT-R and it absolutely smokes me  can't really compete with a turbo 4WD.

slightly different classes comparing those two engines.
sr20 cars can be picked up from $6000
rb26 is $25000 and above.

sr20s move, and are very responsive to tuning.

yeah true me mate with the R33 is a little rich boy but f**k it is a nice car it has room for a jap car. i'm just not a big fan of SR20's because a few wankers around my area have 180's and silvia's and they stick a big exhaust on them, mags and a pod and they think there drag racers and can beat anyone and SR20's are so overdone you see lots of them around. I think i'll stick with me XR6 engine.

that's coz worked sr20s can beat a lot of people :p.

gtr is in a class of it's own. then again they're 40 grand for a 10 year old car :p

And what's wrong with how 180's look?!??!
If I hadn't bought the Sprint I would have got one...

Hehe i was gonna buy a TT 300ZX if i didn't get my xr6 :P Actually looked at a couple but under those engine bays are  Didn't fancy spending my life savings on maintaing the b**tard just to have a low 14 second car standard.

oh yeah, and falcons have other qualities that ricers dont such as:

boo space

and as you said - more meat so they'll survive the crash
i could also say panels and parts are cheap but so are most jap bits

i must say, i am a fan of the boo space in the fords as well. so when a clapped out VN rolls up next to you, you have heaps of room to lean out the window and yell out "BOOO"!!

LOL
