MY CAR (2002 BA XT) is making strange noises... it's a type of noise that is dependant on the rev range. so the more revs the car does the faster the noise will go.... can anyone tell me what the noise is or where it's coming from..
1. No loss of power from the car 2. Car seems completely normal apart from sound video/sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cEBJzJYygs im pretty upset about this noise

(not 100% sure if BA's run similar thing as E-series)...

Thats a similar sound that my sons EL Auto I6 was making when his flywheel was loose.....
Gets worse when you rev it, sounds like a loose exhaust baffle (what we thought it was at first) til we replaced the cat convertor and it didnt fix it... Flywheel and bolts were loose and stuffed by the time we pulled the trans out to have a look see (could rock the flywheel 10mm at the bottom).... Lucky I had spares on a motor in the shed.....

I own a ford eb which i thrashed and its pretty rooted now but the motor used to make a knocking noise when idling like a cluk cluk cluk cluk metal noise & could hear the tapets cause oil pump was f***ed. When i reved it high the ticking made a constant metal tick & when i just cruised i could hear the motor ticking. Your motor might be startin to feel like crap...if urs is doing simular...

yeah i just had a mate over and we started looking for new engines on ebay we found a place that sold ba engines max $600 so if worse comes to worse we might just purchase a "new" engine for 600 then get it shipped and fitted
